ABOUT THE ARTIST
I'm a 29-year-old self-taught aboriginal artist born and raised on Vancouver Island. I started doing art at the age of 14 painting graffiti. As I grew, I explored various art forms, artist, and art movements. As well as studying art theory on my own time. My practice shifted from graffiti to figurative abstraction, abstractions, and later figurative work. I began experimenting with different techniques, styles, materials, and multimedia. Exploring expressive qualities of line, shape, color, and perspective. Recently, my practice has been centered around creating introspective paintings, inspired by psychoanalysis, self-portraiture, and narration. Using expressive brush strokes, color, and perspective to unify the composition and themes, I aspire to create works of art that are both visually and mentally stimulating.
